Wednesday 22nd February 10 am – 3.30 pm

Join us for a compelling programme of speakers sharing unmissable insights around our theme of sustainable agriculture.

Andy Griffiths – Head of Sustainable Procurement, Diageo

Andy will be discussing Diageo’s commitment to ‘grain-to-glass sustainability’. This policy promotes sustainable agriculture and sourcing local ingredients to protect and preserve Britain’s natural resources and to help local people, businesses, and communities.

Ron Granger – Arable Technical Manager, Limagrain

Ron is the Arable Technical Manager at Limagrain UK, supplier of some of the world’s top-performing seeds. He will join us at our technical conference to discuss why Limagrain has a legacy in Scotland for producing varieties for the north and offering a guide to their product portfolio. He will also pose an open question to the floor –
What do you want as growers from varieties in the future?

Phil Tailby – Senior Wheat Breeder, Limagrain

Phil is a very knowledgeable plant breeder with an MSc in Plant Genetics and Crop Improvement. He will be making a presentation on the new breeding methods and models for developing the next generations of wheat varieties.
We are told his presentations are not to be missed!

Prof Roger Sylvester-Bradley – Principal Research Scientist, ADAS

Prof Roger Sylvester-Bradley leads research on crop performance in ADAS and aims to inspire innovation in crop productivity. He is also an honorary professor of temperate crop physiology with the University of Nottingham and founded and leads the Yield Enhancement Network (YEN).

Paul Temple – Farmer

Paul’s mixed beef and arable family farm practices conservation agriculture in the north of England. He grows wheat for seed, barley, oilseed rape, vining peas, and beans and has recently added grass leys back into the arable rotation. The farm is in a high-level environmental scheme and offers educational access.
