Peter farms 420 Ha in partnership with his wife Grace, based at South Redbog, Strichen.
The business is mainly arable, with 350 Ha in a five year rotation of WB, WOSR, WW then two years of SB where all crops are grown for local feed markets. There is a heavy reliance on organic manures to supply key nutrition with a high input/high output philosophy followed. The remainder of the land is in permanent grass or rough grazing which is utilised by 50 suckler cows and progeny. The business also owns and operates 4 Enercon E-48 wind turbines.”
