Jim has been a cereal group member of Scottish Agronomy since 1989 and potatoes since their introduction in 1995 and over the years, his farming business has hugely benefitted from Scottish Agronomy’s independent advice based on the regional trials programme, agronomists specialist knowledge and fellow farmers practical experience.
Today, the next generation continue to benefit from that same valued independent advice and despite the fact that Jim considers himself to be past his “best before date” he occasionally surprises both himself and those around him with the odd snippet of practical advice.
