Tom is a past Chairman and currently represents Scottish Agronomy on the SAOS Council and sits on the SAOS Board, where the agriculture co-operative sector is supported.
In a past life Tom worked in agricultural banking where he gained experience north and south of the border but now helps run family farms on the outskirts of Dundee and at the foot of Glen Isla in the Angus Glens. Initially aiming to be an outright arable farmer, more and more livestock have come on farm and now include a pig rearing unit, a red deer herd for venison and a farmgate Christmas turkey enterprise. He is not sure how this happened!
There is one more role important Tom and his wife Susannah have and that’s running a taxi service for their three children, which fills any spare time.
