To those of you who have not yet reserved your places on the Healthy Soils Connected course, this is a reminder to do so.
The course which will explore the role of soil and plant relationships and their importance to profitable farming systems. The course will be run by Eric Anderson of Scottish Agronomy and Ian Robertson of Farmacy, both of whom, have a wealth of experience in crop and soil management spanning practical, academic and policy disciplines.
The syllabus is intentionally flexible to build knowledge and understanding, while aligning with the needs of participants. As such, those who register will need to attend in person to all four sessions. Were an individual cannot attend a session, their place cannot be transferred.
The course will span four months, with a half-day interactive session (field and indoors) in each month. Each half day session will be within the dates of:
● 7th & 8th December 2023
● 18th & 19th January 2024
● 15th & 16th February 2024
● 14th & 15th March 2024
To support engagement, the sessions will take place on farms across Scotland.
The final session will involve a round-up of topics discussed, with key areas of focus identified and action plans made.
The course will cost £600 (+VAT) and places are limited to 10 per group.
