The Board of Directors of Scottish Agronomy is looking for a new Managing Director.
Scottish Agronomy is considered Scotland’s leading agronomy advice service offering technical expertise, with a focus on practical, sustainable and value-centred solutions. Our comprehensive field trials systems are at the heart of the co-operative, keeping us at the forefront of crop research and development.
Leading a team of 25, and supported by a network of industry relationships, the Managing Director is the principal ambassador of Scottish Agronomy.
As the Managing Director you would provide leadership and operational expertise to ensure Scottish Agronomy continues to meet its strategic goals of growth and influence. We are not prepared to stand still, we want more farmers to join our membership to help us develop and deliver cost effective solutions to meet today’s farming challenges – together we can make difference.
Building relationships and strategic partnerships in both the public and private sector, hands-on promotion of Scottish Agronomy’s work and exploration of engaging opportunities are all key components of this very busy and dynamic role.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate their ability across the range of competencies noted above and have had recent experience of working at a senior level in a complimentary industry sector, and should have knowledge or experience of working with or in a co-operative, public or private.
