SUMMER STUDENTS – From June to September/October (Dates Flexible)
Scottish Agronomy is a farmer-owned co-operative and the leading organisation in Scotland devoted to the provision of unbiased advice to arable farmers. Successful agronomy depends on continual production of new information, and the field trials conducted by the company are key to providing a technical advantage to members.
Every summer Scottish Agronomy recruits 4/5 students to join our trials team for the harvest. The successful applicant would be involved in all aspects of our extensive arable field trials network throughout Scotland.
Such involvement includes field, office and laboratory roles. Assistance with crop assessments, harvesting, grain sampling and office tasks.
The work requires a high degree of self-motivation and flexibility to meet seasonal workload. Practical agricultural experience would be an advantage. The position is based in the Kinross area. A driving license is essential.
